CAI’s packaged Thermal Fluid Heaters provide the greatest fuel utilization without danger of vapor lock. They provide accurate delivery temperature up to 750°F at virtually atmospheric pressure in process heating applications. Completely factory assembled, with outputs to 25 million Btu/hr.
Using the "water tube" type of design with the fluid circulation inside the tube, the CAI Thermal Fluid Heater makes maximum use of both radiant and convective heat. The mono-tube, horizontal or vertical helical coil actually is the entire combustion chamber. Gases leaving the combustion chamber are passed over the entire outside surface of the coil to use all available heat.
The thermal fluid flows through the coil, eliminating the possibility of vapor lock or short circuiting the fluid. The heater coil is fabricated from seamless pipe with heavier walls than conventional boiler tube. At all times, all equipment in the heating system, including the heater coil and heater users, are exposed to atmospheric pressure via expansion tank. Therefore, the heater tube is not subjected to excessive pressure. The only pressure exerted on the tube is that required to move the liquid. Pressurized systems are also available for special applications. Special insulating blocks eliminate the need for any further insulation.
Standard models are equipped with fully modulating, heavy duty burners specially selected to fit the CAI design. Burners are available for any grade of gas and fuel oil, or a combination of gas, oil or liquid and gas waste. Air or steam atomization is used when required by liquid fuel.
Control Systems are designed for maximum safety - they satisfy all current IRI, FM, NFPA, UL, OHSA requirements (and any special requirements specified by customer)
