May 16, 2011

CAI was awarded the Presidential "E" Award for Exports by U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Gary Locke at the Departments headquarters in Washington, D.C on May 16, 2011. The "E" Awards are the highest recognition any U.S. entity may receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports.

"Exporting continues to be the foundation of our sales growth, and we are honored to receive the "E" Award," said Mukund Kavia, CAI's President and CEO. "When we first began exporting in 1995, export sales accounted for 10 percent of our total sales. Over the past four years, our export sales have grown to nearly 90 percent of our total sales, enabling us to sustain and create jobs as well as move our operations to a brand new larger facility."

A total of 27 U.S. companies were presented with the "E" Award at the May 16, 2011 World Trade Week ceremonies in Washington DC.
