Distributed Power Generation

CAI is a California corporation specializing in Distributed “On-Site” Power Generation (DG). Since the electricity is generated very close to where it is used, DG reduces the amount of energy that is lost in transmitting electricity. DG also reduces the size and number of power lines that must be constructed thereby it’s very cost-effective too.
CAI packaged power plants provide reliable, affordable, and environment-friendly electric power to meet:
Increasing demands
Reduce peak operating costs
Enhance energy security
Improve reliability of electric power generation
Wherever CAI power plants are located, they provide many jobs for local community increasing economic prosperity.

At the dawn of the 21st Century, rolling blackouts, power interruptions and downtime have become a part of our daily vocabulary. This is a crippling business reality around the world as consumption and demand increases. At CAI, we have successfully packaged 10MW systems using LM1500 Aero-Derivative Turbines manufactured by General Electric. The company offers complete systems that are fully tested and ready to run and generate 10 MW of power on a 24/7 basis.
CAI components are shipped skid-mounted as nearly complete as possible. The turbine assembly is shipped as one unit, complete from the bellmouth on the air intake end to the power turbine on the drive end. The coupling, gear box and generator is shipped as a skid-mounted assembly. The control system cabinet and, lubrication/starter skid are shipped as loose components to be integrated at site. A weather resistant sound attenuated enclosure is provided for the complete turbine-generator skid with intake air filter/silencer assembly and exhaust/silencer assembly.
An off-engine lube oil system skid is supplied, complete with local starter, instrumentation that can be wired into the control system package, oil cooler, etc. The skid is designed to be modular and can hook up to the starter skid. The starter skid consists of a reservoir, electric pumps that connect to the retractable starter. |
